JFC Training College strives to provide a safe environment for all students in its care while they are studying at the College, visiting the College or participating in College activities.
The College believes that children, young people and vulnerable adults have rights as individuals and should be treated with dignity and respect.
In line with statutory safeguarding guidance, the College has a designated safeguarding team. This group works closely together to provide effective safeguarding support for all learners at JFC.
The Safeguarding team can offer a listening ear, support and advice on issues such as abuse, mental health, online safety, relationship breakdown, alcohol or drug addiction, or any other concern a student may have during their time at college.
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding is the action taken to protect and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults to protect them from harm or potential harm, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, race, or religion. It also includes advocating learners’ health, wellbeing, and development and providing safe and effective care in a safe environment.
At JFC, we share the belief that safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility. Our staff is committed to providing an environment where students feel safe and receive effective safeguarding care, guidance and support. Our dedicated safeguarding team promotes awareness of safeguarding issues and is always available to provide support to students, families and staff.
